Promoting healthy vocal technique, authentic expression, and love of music!

With a background in classical music & opera, and as a regularly gigging singer/songwriter, I believe absolutely in maintaining solid vocal technique no matter what style of music speaks to you.

Designed for your specific needs

I work with all ages, across genres (classical, jazz, musical theater, pop.)

For teens to adults, focus is on technique, alignment, breath, tone & musicality, and can also include music theory / ear training, depending on your level. We determine goals together - from acing a high school or college audition, to working up new repertoire for professional gigs, to getting up on karaoke night with confidence.

When I work with younger children, fostering a love of music and song is my main focus. In addition to establishing a basic warm up (as an introduction to what will come when voices mature), we choose songs, develop musicality and musical literacy, have fun with ear training and other "games," and work on performing with confidence.

About me

I have a BA in Voice Performance from Boston University (Trustee Scholar) and am a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater; over the years, I have had the great opportunity to study singing and acting with several renowned teachers, including Richard Cassilly, Sharon Daniels, Carolann Page and Wynn Handman. I am fully committed to professional development, and currently study with Aaron Hagan, who has worked with the likes of Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor and Gavin Creel. In addition to teaching privately, I am on the faculty at the Neighborhood Playhouse, teaching singing to first year conservatory students, as well as vocal technique, musical theater, and audition skills in the NP Junior School. I also had 3 fun-filled years directing Central Park East II's after-school choir program, while my kids attended elementary school there.
